Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property
in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Extension No. 410) for the purpose of
constructing a sewer.
BE IR ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment f the same upon
the property hereinafter described. in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer Ex-
tension No. 410) for the purpose of constructing a sewer, to-wit:
In Lots 1, 2, 3, 7 and 8 of Blk. 81; Lots 3 to 10 in-
aluwive and 12 to 19 inclusive of Blk. 1, Oakwood Sub. of Blk.
81; Lots 1 to 51 inclusive of Blk. 2, Home Sub. of Bik. 89; and
Lots 27 to 50 inclusive of Bik. 2, Wilkinson's Sub. of Blk. 90,
all in Plat "C", Salt Lake,City Survey, abutting on both sides
of Chicago Street from 3rd to 4th North, both sides of 1st alley
west of Marion Street from 5th North to 1st alley south; both
sides of 1st alley north of 4th North from Marion Street to 10th
West, south side of 5th North from 10th to Ilth West; south side
of 4th North from 8th to 9th West; and west side of 8th West from
3rd to 4th North Streets.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
vitrified pipe sewer eight (8) inches to eighteen (18) inches in
diameter, including manholes, flush tanks and "Y" junctions, all com-
plete, upon the portions of said streets opposite the property herein-

before and hereinafter described to be especially affected
and benefited by said improvement and it is hereby adjudged,
determined and established that said property will be especially
benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied
and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at a uniform rate
in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions
of said streets fronting upon and to the entire depth of said
parcels of land back therefrom, and the tar hereby levied and
to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Eleven Thousand
Five Hundred One and 81/100 ($11,501.81) dollars; Five Thousand
Seven Hundred Seven and 55/100 (115,707.55) dollars or Two
and 11/100 ($2.11) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting
property for half rate, there being 2705 feet abutting said
improvement; Five Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-four and 26/100
($5,794.26) dollars or Three and 59/100 (413.59) dollars per
front or linear foot of abutting property for full rate, there
! being 1614 feet abutting said improvement, which is the total
abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said sewer according
jto the contract entered into for the performance of said work

Idated the 18th day of October, 1922, and the Treasurer is hereby
authorized and directed to assess in accordance with the pro-
vi.sions of this ordinance for the purposes herein mentioned;

The west side of the north 270 feet of the east 132
feet of Lot 2, the east side of the west 132 feet of Lot 3, and
the west side of the east 132 feet of Lot 7, Blk. 81; the east
side of Lots 12 to 19 incl. of Blk. 1, Oakwood Sub. of Blk. 81;
the north side of Lots 1 to 11 incl., the east side of Lots 12
to 31 incl., the west side of Lots 32 to 51 incl., the south
side of the west 77.5 feet of Lot 12 and the south side of the
east 77.5 feet of Lot 51, Blk. 2, Home Sub. of Blk. 89, Plat 0,
Salt Lahe City Survey: 2 -
FULL RATE
The east side of Lots 1 and 8, the north side of the
east 72 feet of Lot 7, the north side of the west 105 feet of
Lot 8, Blk. 81; the north side of Lots 4 to 9 incl., the north
side of the east 12 feet of Lot 3, the north side of the west
•; 15 feet of Lot 10, Blk. 1, Oakwood Sub. of Bik. 81; the north
side of Lots 27 to 49 incl. and the north side of the west
20 feet of Lot 50, Bik. 2, Wilkinson's Sub. of Blk. 90, Plat
C, Salt Lake City Survey; as the same are shown upon the officia
plats of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of land
and to collect said tax.
SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the
City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the
Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in
Section I of this ordinance in Sewer District No. 2 (Sewer
Extension No. 410) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of con-
structing a sewer upon said portions of said street, is hereby
confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said com-
pleted lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and
Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are
hereby ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
yearly installments with interest on the whole sum unpaid at
the rate of six per cent per annum payable at the time each
installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one year after
the effective date of this ordinance of levy, one-tenth thereof
two years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth
thereof three years after this ordinance becomes effective, one-
tenth thereof four years after this ordinance becomes effective,
one-tenth thereof five years after this ordinance becomes ef-
fective, one--tenth thereof six years after this ordinance become
effective, one-tenth thereof seven years after this ordinance

( becomes effective, one-tenth thereof eight years after this
ordinance becomes effective, one-tenth thereof nine years after
this ordinance becomes effective and one-tenth thereof ten
years after this ordinance becomes effective. In the event
any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the
day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax
unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due,
shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the
rate of twelve per cent per annum until paid.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
