AN ORDINANCE VACATING AN "L" SHAPED PORTION OF AN ALLEY
LOCATED IN THE GRAND HAVEN SUBDIVISION, WHICH ALLEY BEGINS AT
BROWNING AVENUE BETWEEN 671 AND 675 EAST AND RUNS NORTH FOR 100
FEET; THENCE RUNS WEST 100 FEET TO GREEN STREET.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That an "L" shaped portion of an alley whose
eastern leg is 13 feet wide and begins at Browning Avenue between
671 and 675 East and runs thence North 96 feet and then turns
west to include a western leg 10.8 feet in width, and approxi-
mately 100 feet in length at the rear of Lots 45-48 of said
subdivision which connects to Green Street in Salt Lake City,
Utah, more particularly described below, be, and the same hereby
is vacated and declared no longer to be needed or available for
use as a public street, avenue, alley, or pedestrian way.
Commencing at the southeast corner of Lot 48, Grand
Haven Subdivision, a subdivision of Lot 15, Block 14,
5-Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey; thence running North
along the east lot line of said Lot 48, 96.0 feet to
the northeast corner of Lot 48 of said subdivision;
thence west along the north lot lines of Lots 45-48 of
said Subdivision, 100 feet more or less to the
northwest corner of Lot 45 of said subdivision; thence
North 10.8 feet, more or less, to the southwest corner
of Lot 2 of the Maryland Subdivision; thence East 113
feet, more or less, to the northwest corner of Lot 49,
Grand Haven Subdivision; thence South along the west
lot line of Lots 49-52 of the Grand Haven Subdivision
to the southwest corner of Lot 52 of said Grand Haven
Subdivision; thence West 13 feet, more or less, to the
point of beginning.
Said vacation is expressly made SUBJECT TO all
existing rights of ways and easements of all public
utilities of any and every description, now located
on, in, under or over the confines of the above-
described property; and
ALSO SUBJECT TO the rights of entry thereon for the
purpose of obtaining, altering, repairing, replacing
removing, or rerouting said utilities and all of
them. Said vacation is also subject to any existing
rights of way or easements of third parties.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30)
days after the date of its first publication.
