AN O R D I N ANC E .
An ordinance requiring the payment o ' a licenser persons,
firms, associations or corporations engaged in the business of
keeping, conducting, managing or operating automobile garages
within Salt Lake City, Utah.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, also-
elation or corporation to engage. in the business of keeping, con-
ducting, managing or operating an automobile garage within Salt
Lake City, Utah, without first .obtaining a license so to do.
SECTION 2. All persons:, firms, associations or corporations
required to pay a license under the provisions of Section One of
this ordinance, shall pay to Salt Lake City annually, in advance, III
the sum of fifty ($50.00) dollars.
SECk`ION 3. For the purpose of this ordinance, an automobile
garage shall be deemed to be any place or establishment where
automobiles or self-propelled vehicles are cleaned, charged, housed
or kept in order, and where a charge is made for such service.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm, association or corporation
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon
conviction thereof, be punished by a fine not exceeding fifty
($50.00) dollars, or by imprisonment in the city jail for a period
not exceeding thirty days.
SECTION 6. All ordinances and resolutions, or parts of ordi-
nances and resolutions in conflict herewith, are hereby repealed
to the extent of such conflict.
SECTION 6. This ordinance shall take effect one day after
publication.
