This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading,
curbing and gutterinm, constructia.7; private driveways, construct-
ing irrigation system, constructing drainage system to carry ',:rater
across and along str(:et 3 and intersectioms, initallin-E; water
services and sewer connections to bac of curb and to pave tli
bituminous concrete (said. pavement to be 42 feet between curbs on
21st South Street from a point 295 feet east of llth East to
13th East street,inCluding 10 foot strip to be paved by the State

be six (6) inches thick, with four (4) inch crushed rock base

property for said 42 foot roadway, single track, and 10 foot strip
paved by State and County, there being 1191.50 feet abutting said
Portion of said improvement; Six Hundred Forty-seven and 50/100
( 647.50) dollars for private driveways, or Thirty-five ( 35.00)
dollars for each private driveway, there being 18-: private drive-

said districts, which is the total cost and cost per front foot
pf said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the
perfo mance of said work and making said improvement with Campbell
Building Company,dated the 19th day of August, 1920, and the City
Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in accordance
with the provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein men-
tioned:

TO THE REGULAR ASSESSMENT
The north side of Lots 14 and 18 of Blk. 1, View City
Sub. of Blk. 46, the north side of the west 50' of the east 165'
and the north side of the east 115' of Lot 10, Blk. 46, 10 Acre
Plat A, Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the
official plats of said city to the entire depth of said parcels of
• land and to collect said tax.
SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in. Section I
of this ordinance in Paving Districts Nos. 31 and 32 (Paving
Extension No. 144) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing
for the grading, curbing and guttering, constructing private drive-
ways, constructing irrigation system, constructing drainage system
to carry water across and along streets and intersections, install-
ing water services and sewer connections to back of curb and to pave
with bituminous concrete upon said portion of said streets, is
hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and returned in said
completed lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and
Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby;
ratified, approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest
on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,
payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any
installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the sIe cial tax unpaid at

the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
and payable, and shall draw interest at the raise of eight per
cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION IV. Phis ordinance shall take effect one day
after its first publication.
