AN ORDINANCE VACATING the public use of Forest Dale Golf Course
and making said vacation effective January 14, 1961 .
WHEREAS, the City of Salt Lake City, County of Salt Lake, State of
Utah, is a municipal corporation, duly organized and existing under the
laws of the State of Utah, as a city of the first class; and
WHEREAS, on January 27, 1959, the city conveyed all of its right,
title and interest, with the exception of the right of occupancy and
possession until January 14, 1961, in and to the Forest Dale Golf Course
in Salt Lake City for a valuable consideration; and
WHEREAS, the said golf course at the time of its conveyance and
at the present time, was, and is, Inadequate for the needs of the in-
habitants of Salt Lake City, and obsolete because of the necessity for
extensive repair of drainage facilities; and
WHEREAS, although said golf course was never dedicated by ordinance
as required by statute and was at all times subject to the control of
the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is deemed expedient by
the said Board of Commissioners to vacate whatever dedication of said
property may have arisen through long continued use of said property
as a golf course and to make such vacation effective on the date
possession must be relinquished by the city;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1 . That the public use In and to the following described
property, commonly known as Forest Dale Golf Course, and more parti-
cularly described as follows:
All of Lots 3, 4, 5, 14, 15 and 16, together with ail
buildings and improvements thereon; all tenements, heredita-
ments and appurtenances of every kind and nature; and to-
gether with and subject to all rights of way and easements
containing 59.70 acres, more or less.

All of Lots 6 and 13, together with all buildings and
improvements thereon; all tenements, hereditaments
and appurtenances of every kind and nature;
Commencing North 0° 12' East 1903.11 feet from the South-
east corner of Block 45, 10 Acre Plat A, Big Field Survey;
said corner being 66 feet North and 66 feet West of a
certain standstone known as the Northwest corner of Block
27, 10 Acre Plat A, and running thence North 0° 12' East
192.56 feet; thence South 89° 43' East 456.47 feet;
thence South 06° 021 15" West 193.55 feet; thence North
89° 43' West 436.94 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 1 .97 acres more or less.
Commencing at a point South 20° 20' East 83.42 feet from
the Southwest corner of Lot 6, Block 46, 10 Acre Plat A,
Big Field Survey; and running thence North 13° 52' West
116 feet; thence South 890 48' East 410 feet more or less
to a point North 50 56' East from a point South 89° 48'
East 372.2 feet from the point of beginning; thence South
05° 56' West 113 feet more or less; thence North 89° 48'
West 372.2 feet to the point of beginning and containing
1 Acre more or less.
be, and the same hereby is, vacated and declared to be no longer needed
for use of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City as a golf course or
recreational facility.
SECTION II . That the effective date of this vacation be, and the
same hereby is, established as the 14th day of January, 1961 .
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this
$4 day of 1960.
