AN ORDINANCE REPEALING Section 20-4-17 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to advertising by balloons, kites, airplanes, restrictions of license; and AMENDING Section 20-4-15 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to advertising by balloons. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That Section'20-4-17 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to advertising by balloons, kites, airplanes and restrictions of license, be, and the same hereby is REPEALED. SECTION 2. That Section 20-4-15 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to advertising by balloons, kites,and airplanes, license required, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read as follows: "Sec. 20-4-15. Advertising by balloons, kites, airplanes - license required. It shall be unlawful for any person to advertise by means of any balloon, kite, glider, or other aerial device sus- pended in the air, within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City, without first procuring a license so to do; provided, however, no license shall be granted for any such aerial advertising unless and until such balloon, kite, glider, airplane, or other aerial device shall be first certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. Persons required to pay a license fee under this section shall pay twenty-five dollars ($25.00) per annum in advance." SECTION 3. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners it is necessary to the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this Ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 4. This Ordinance shall take effect upon its first publication. Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, this 12th day of June, 1975.
