An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on Eleventh East Street between Second South and Seventh South Streets; on Thirteenth East Street between Second South and Third South Streets; on Seoond South Street between Twelfth East and University Streets; on Third South Street between Tenth East and University Streets; on Univer- sity Street between First South and Third South Streets; on Douglas Street between Second South and Third South Streets; and on Elizabeth Street between Second South and Third South Streets, in Paving District No. 27, for the purpose of pro- viding for the grading, guttering and curbing thereof, con- structing storm sewers across all intersections, and construct- ing cement sidewalks where sidewalks are unpaved. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in raving District No. 27, for the purpose of providing for the grading, ( guttering and curbing thereof, constructing storm sewers across all intersections, and constructing cement sidewalks where sidewalks are unpaved, to-wit: In Lots 5 and 6, Block 22; 1, 2, 3 and 4, Block 27, all in Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, abutting on both sides of Third South Street between Eleve th East ant_Trtlit East Streets; and on the west side of iP'b between Secondi and Third South Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, guttering and curbing with cement, constructing storm sewers of wrought iron pipe twelve (12) inches in diameter across all intersections, and constructing cement sidewalks where fib. f I;) I I sidewalks are unpaved (certain of said sidewalks to be six I i ii1`6) feet wide and four (4) inches thick, and others to be five (5) feet wide and four (4) inches thick) , upon the portions of said Streets opposite the property hereinbefore and here- inafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and ppestablished that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is four fie t, V//p/e, ,, thousand-twertTe--and 60/100 ($1,41'l1}.cQ} dollars; three thousand I three hundred fifty-two and 25/100 (03,352.25) dollars, or two and 75/100 (02.75) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for forty (40) foot roadway, including six (6) foot walk, there being 1219 eet abutting said portion of, said improvement; and six hundred%e4x4y and 35/100 ($60.5&) dollars, or two and 10/100 (02.10) dollars per front or linear II foot of abutting property for thirty (30) foot roadway, in- cluding five (5) foot walk, there being 313.50 feet abutting said portion of said improvement, within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total cost and cost per front foot of said im- i proyement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with P. J. Moran, dated the 19th day of August, 1912, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: 1 A -3- I Forty Foot Roadway, with Six Foot Walk. The north side of the east 120 feet of Lot 6, the north 1side of the west 200 feet of Lot 6, Block 22; the north side fof Lot 5, Block 22; the south side of Lot 4, the south side of the east 140 feet of Lot 1, the west 144 feet of the south side of Lot 3, the east 120 feet of the south side of Lot 2, ( Block 27, all in Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey. Thirty Foot Roadway, with Five Foot Walk. 1 The east side of the west 144 feet of the south 313.5 feet of Lot 3, Block 27, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to ! collect said tax. 1 SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole suuf ° payable at the I�unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, p y time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for Ithe payment for such improvement becomes effective; one-fifth! 6 I khereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; lone-fifth thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordi- 1 I Hance becomes effective; and one fifth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of said pinstallments, in the order in which they are payable, or the ' whole special tax, may be paid at any time within thirty days; after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax becomes ! effective, without interest.
