Green Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro- perty in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 181) for the purpose of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof. BE IT ORDAINKD by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. Tbat the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 181) for the purpose of grading, con- structing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and interseotions, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof, to-wit: In Lot 6 of Blk. 11, 5-Acre Plat C. Lots 31 to 51 incl. of Blk. 3, Lots 58, 1 to 20 inol.and 29 to 49 incl. of Blk. 4, Lots 58 and 1 to 20 incl. of Blk. 5, Emerson Heights Add., Lots 27 and 1 to 10 incl. of Blk. 7 and Lots 1 to 12 incl. of Blk. 8, Liberty Heights Sub., all in Block 11, 5-Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey, abutting 61 is el I on both sides of Kensington Avenue, 14th to 15th East Ste., both sides of Emerson Avenue, 14th to 15th East Sts., and both sides o ' Emerson Avenue, 13th to 14th East Ste.,in Salt Lake City, Utah. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructe.?, constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, private driveways, installing water services a d sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof ( said pavement to be twenty-five (25) feet on both sides of Kensington Avenue, 14th to 15th East Streets, thirty (30) feet on both sides of Emerson Avenue. 14th to 15th East Streets, and thirty (30) feet (curb and gutter built) on both sidesof Emerson Avenue, 13th to 14th East Streets) and all of said pavement to be five (5) inches thick, two (2) inch bituminous concrete wearing surface on a three (3) inch bituminou concrete base), the portions of said streets opposite the propert hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, 'determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uni- form rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Twenty-two Thousand Three Hundred Ninety-eight and 49/100 ($22,398.49) dollars; Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty and 53/100 ($6,820.53) or Four and 69/100 ($4.69) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for said twenty-five (25) foot roadway, there being 1454.27 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; Seven Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty and 37/100 ($"7760.37) dollars or Five and 33/100 (`". 5.33) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for said thirty (30) foot roadway, there being 1455.98 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; Five - 2 I Thousand Six Hundred Four and 59/100 ($5,604.59) dollars or Three and 91/100 ($3.91) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for said thirty (30) foot roadway (curb and gutter built), there being 1433.40 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; Two Hundred Fifty ( 250) dollars for privat driveways, there being ten (10) private driveways at Twenty- five ($25.00) dollars per driveway; Three Hundred. SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and oompleteld by the Board of Equaliaation and Review of the property delscribed in Section I of this ordinance in Paving Extension No. 181 of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and in- tersections, private driveways, installing water si;rvioes and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with lbituminous concrete thereof, is hereby confirmed and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Boar, of Equalization and Review to the Board. of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal yeafl y installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is duel In the eve. any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid. .. 5 - I at the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve p r cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
