AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 60, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, 1920, with relation to traffic, by adding
in and to said chapter a new section to be known as Section
1929X4.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Chapter 60, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, 1920, relating to traffic, be and the same is
hereby amended by adding in and to said chapter a new section
to be known as Section 1929X4, which shall read as follows:
SECTION 1929X4. That that certain street or
way surrounding the City and County Building, located
in Block 38, Plat "A", Salt Lake City Survey, is hereby
declared to be a one-way street or way.
It shall be unlawful for any person to operate
any vehicle on the west portion of said street or way ex-
cept in a southerly direction, on the south portion there-
of except in an easterly direction, on the east portion
thereof except in a northerly direction, and on the north
portion thereof except in a westerly direction.
The Chief of Police is hereby granted authority
to designate certain locations on said street or way for
the parking of vehicles necessarily used in emergencies
by the various departments or branches of the city and

county government, and it shall be unlawful for any person
to park any vehicle not so used in said designated parking
places.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners',
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
publication. 6----
