AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE FIRST PARAGRAPH OF SECTION
1702 of CHAPTER LXXIV, of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City,
Utah, 1934, of an ordinance passed by the Board pf Commissioners
of Salt Lake City, Utah, oh June 11, 1941, and designated as bill
No. 26, relating to zoning, as amended by ordinances adding thereto
Items 1 to 14 inclusive, and AMENDING SAID SECTION 1702 as amended
by adding in and to said section a new Item to be known as Item No.
15, and AMENDING CHAPTER LXXIV by adding in and to said Chapter a
new section to be known as Section 1704X.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the first paragraph of Section 1702 of
Chapter LXXIV of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah,
1934, of an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah, on June 11, 1941, and designated as bill No. 26,
relating to zoning, as amended by ordinances adding thereto Items
1 to 14 inclusive, be and the sathe is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"SEC. 1702. That in order to designate districts and
regulate the location of dwellings; business, trades, indus-
tries, and the location of buildings erected or altered for
specified uses, Salt Lake City is hereby divided into eleven
(11) use districts to be known as:
Residential "A" District.
Residential "A-2" District.
Residential "A-3" District.
Residential "B" District.
Residential "B-2" District.
Residential "B-3" District.
Business "A" District.
Commercial District.
Industrial District.
Industrial "B" District.
Unrestricted District. " (Ti

SECTION 2. That Section 1702 of Chapter LXXIV of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, of an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on
June 11, 1941, and designated as bill No. 26, relating to zoning,
as amended by ordinances adding thereto Items 1 to 14 inclusive,
be and the same is hereby amended by adding in and to said section
a new paragraph to be known as Item No. 15, which shall read as
follows:
"Item 15. The following described real property in
Residential 'A', as shown on the Use District Map, is hereby
changed to Residential nA-3" classification, and the Use Dis-
trict Map is hereby amended and changed accordingly:
Commencing at the northwest corner of the intersec-
tion of North Temple and State Street and running thence
• East 327 ft. to the west side of Canyon Road, thence North
920 feet to a point 165 feet north of First North Street
produced, thence West 875 feet to a point 150 feet east of
Main Street, thence North 627 feet to the south line of
Second North Street, thence west 150 feet to the east line
of Main Street, thence south 792 feet to First North Street,
thence East 221 feet, thence South 292 feet, thence east
110 feet, thence South 100 feet, thence East 367 feet to the
west line of State Street, thence South 363 feet to the
place of beginning;
Also the property fronting and abutting upon the
west side of Eleventh East Street from a point 60 feet south
of Wilson Avenue to the north line of Hollywood Avenue and
extending from Eleventh East Street to McClelland Street;
Also the property fronting and abutting upon both
sides of Highland Drive and to the depth of the lots back
therefrom but not exceeding 155 feet, and extending from a
point 125 feet north of Parkway Avenue to Twenty-Seventh
South Street, excepting therefrom the property abutting upon
the west side of said Highland Drive from Twenty-Seventh
South Street to a point 280 feet north therefrom.
That said Use District Map is hereby changed and altered
to show the above described tracts of land as parts of Reside -
tial "A-3n District.
SECTION 3. That said Chapter LXXIV.of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, of an ordinance passed by th
Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, on June 11, 1941,
and designated as bill No. 26, relating to zoning, be and the same
is hereby amended by adding in and to said Chapter a new section t.

is arranged, intended or designed to be used for other than
one of the following uses:
1. Any use permitted in a Residential HAH or HA--211
District.
2. Three family dwelling.
3. Four family dwelling.

it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its firs
publication.
