Green Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE I — .dN Oi3DI1JANCE R:.2:clilLiL;C Section 637, Revised Ordinances of Dalt Lake City, 1920, and amending Section 1785, 'Revised Ordinances of Salt Bake City, 1920, relating to street excavations. BE IT ORDAINED by the Boar:. of Commissionors of Salt Lake Clap, Utah. SECTION I. That Section 637, Revised Ordinances o-f Salt -Lake City, Utah, 1920, be, and the came is, hereby repealed. SECTI0N II. That .-section 1785, revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1920, relating to street excavation; bc, and the same is, hereby amended to read as follows: Section 1785. Permits, Applications. Bonds. Bees. No Permit "or any street excavation shall be issued until written application therefor has been made to the supervisor of streets and irrigation, si nef by the party making the excavation or by the party at whose instance it is to be made; nor until the applicant has filed with the supervisor of streets and irrigation a bond of indemnity to the city, with sureties to be approved by the board of commissioners, conditioned that the jxrson caking the excavation will erect an r.:aintain about said excavatio_1,and until the street is restored to its normal condition, sn ficiert -tuacds, sif'nals, barricades and light , to prevent accident, and will, as soon as map be after ties completion_ said work, restore said street to the wine condition in which it existed prior to said excavation, end 'sill rer::ove rocks, dirt and rubbish SI from the street, and will save the city harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, demands or damages, for any and all injuries to person or property arising in my manner out o,: or by reason of any such. excavation.
