Green �L Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of pro- perty in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 181) for the purpose of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, private driveways, in- stalling water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof. BE IT ORDAINEED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 181) for the purpose of grading, con- structing concrete curb & gutter (where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous con- crete thereof, to-wit: In Lots 4 to 22 incl. of Blk. 1 and Lots 2 to 22 incl. of Blk. 2 of Emerson Heights 2nd Addition; Lots 30 to 50 incl. of Blk. 2 and Lots 62 and 1 to 23 incl. of Blk. 3 of Emerson Heights Add., all in Blk. 11, 5-Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey. abutting on both sides of Bryan Ave. 13thto 15th East, both sides of 14th East from north line of Bryan Ave. running west to south line of Bryan Ave. running east,' in Salt Lake City, Utah. 62 1j +? I I I iThis tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter (where m t already constructed , constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof (said pavement to be twenty-seven (27) feet on both sides of Bryan Ave. 13th to 15th East and thirty-six (36) feet on both sides of 14th East from north line , of Bryan Ave. running west to south line of Bryan Ave. running east) and all of said pavement to be five (5) inches thick, two (2) inch bituminous concrete wearing surface on a three (3) inch bituminous concrete base), the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be espeoia ly affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby ad- judged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordancewith the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Sixteen Thousand Seven Hundred Ninety-five and 19/100 (416,795.19) dollars; Fourteen Thousand Three Hundred 2orty-seven (414,347) dollars or Five (45.00) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting propert for said twenty-seven (27) foot roadway, there being 2869.40 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; Nine Hundred Forty-six and 19/100 ($946.19)dollars or Six and 07/100 (46.07) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for said thirty-six (36) foot roadway, there being 155.88 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; Two Hundred Seventy-five ($275.00) dollars for private driveways, there being eleven (11) private driveways at Twenty-five ($"25.00) dollars per driveway; Nine Hundred Eight. nine ($989.00) dollars for sewer laterals, there being forty-thre- (43) sewer laterals at Twenty-three (423.00) dollars per sewer 2 .. lateral; Two Hundred Thirty-eight ( ;238) dollars for water ser- vices, there being seventeen (17) water services at Fourteen (414.00) dollars per ,:water service, the cost of installing which water services and sewer laterals and the cost of construction of which driveways and the property benefited thereby is herein- after set out, and all within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total abutters' cost and cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with Moran Paving Company, Contractor, dated the 8th day of June, 1922, and the City Treasur-r is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentione:: TWENTY-SEVEN FOOT ROADWAY The north side of Lots 30 to 50 incl. of Blk. 2, Emer- son Heights Addition, the south side of Lots 62 and 1 to 20 incl. of Blk. 3, also of Emerson Heights Addition; the south side of Lots 4 to 22 incl. mut of B1k.l and the north side of Lots 4 to 22 incl. of Blk. 2, Emerson Heights 2nd Addition, all of Blk. 11, 5-Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey: THIRTY-SIX FOOT ROADWAY The west side of Lots 20, 21 and 22 and the west side of the south 3 feet of Lot 23, Blk. 3, Emerson Heights Add., the east side of Lots 3 and 4 and the east side of the north 17 feet of Lot 2, Blk. 2, Emerson Heights 2nd Addition of Blk. 11, 5-Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey: PROPERTY ASSESSED Fa? SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City Treasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Paving Extension No. 181 of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of grading, constructing concrete curb & gutter ( where not already constructed) constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, pri- vate driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with bituminous concrete thereof, is hereby confirmed and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal 4 ., II yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and interest are due, sh:11 become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cente per annum until the sale. of the property assess=d.
