That the OREGON SHORT LINE RAILROAD COMPANY (UNION • PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY, Lessee), is hereby granted the right to construct s operate and maintain along and under and across Ninth South Street, FourtnWest Street, Fifth West Street and intersections thereof in Salt Lake City, an underground telegraph cable line along a course, the center line of which is described as follows: Beginning at a point in the south portion of Ninth South Street in Salt Lake City, Utah, said point being 111..0 feet East and 65.0 feet south from the City Monument, as now lo- cated in the intersection of Ninth South and Third West Streets; running thence West, along a line parallel to and three (3) feet north of the south property line of said Ninth South Street, for a distance of 575.0 feet; thence southwesterly a distance of 38.0 feet, more or less, to a point in the north right-of-way boundary line of said Railroad Company. The said line continues southwesterly and westerly within the right-of-way boundary of said Railroad Com- pany approximately 1224 feet, with the exception that it crosses through and under Fourth West Street for the full width thereof, a distance of 55.5 feet, along a line parallel to and ap- proximately 15.0 feet south of the south bound- ary line of said Ninth South Street, produced.
