P An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of l property in the district bounded on the north by Eleventh South Street, on the east by Fifteenth East Street, on the south by Twelfth South Street, and on the went by Third East Street; also on the east side of Fifth East Street between Bryan Avenue and Eleventh South Street, in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 1 29 and 44, for the construction of cement sidewalks. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: 111 SECTION 1. II This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing [ cement sidewalks (said cement sidewalks to be five (5) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon all four (4) rod streets, Land four (4) feet wide and four * (4) inches thick on all !narrower streets, where sidewalks are unpaved or pavement worn pout, in said districts, and on Fifth East Street between [ Bryan Avenue and Eleventh South Street) , upon the portions of % said streets opposite the property hereinbefore and herein- after described to be especially affected and benefited by Isaid improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited , thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said! parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform Irate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said I portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of t 1 j i 1 -3- ; twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is nineteen thousand eight hundred ninety-eight and 4/100 (019,898.04) dollars; nineteen thousand four hundred ninety-eight and 99/100 (49,498.99) dollars, or 715/1000 ($0.715) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sidewalks five feet wide, there being 27271.31 feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above j 4 mentioned in said districts; and three hundred ninetyrmine11 and 5/100 (0399.05) dollars, or 575/1000 (0.575) dollars pert, front or linear foot of abutting property for sidewalks four I feet wide, there being 694 feet of abutting property within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said districts, which is the total cost and cost per front] 1 foot of said sidewalks, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement,1 with P. J. Moran, dated the 29th day of May, 1913, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in ' accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: Five Foot Walk. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due, to-wit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement becomes effective; one- fifth thereof in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years after said oral.- 1 nance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said ordinance beoomes effective; and one-fifth thereof in five years after said ordinance becomes effective. One or more of said installments, in the order in which they are payable, or the whole speoial tax, may be paid at any tine 1 within thirty days after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tqx becomes effective, without interest.
