ii © R1I 'aAN0A' . it An ordinance levying a tax upon property abutting on both sides of State Street be}ween South Temple and !forth Temple Streets in r. Paving District No. .8, for the purpose of providing for the grading eurbing and paving thereof. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: $IOTION 1. That said dounoil does hereby levy a tax and provide ii for the assesemc,It upon the real property hereinafter described abutting on both sides of State Street from South Temple Street to Xorth Temple street, in Paving District No. :.6 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Said tam is levied to defray the expense of grading, curbing and paving paid portion of said street, and it is hereby adjudged, deterzd ned and established that the grading, curbing and paving of said street will thereby benefit the property abutting thereon, and hereinafter described to the full amount of the estimated cost there- of. Said property is to be assessed at an equal and uniform rate, in aceordanoe with the linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street. The cost and expense Of making sold improvement is estimated at eis and 5O/100 ($6.50) dollarI per linear front foot, and the tat. hereby levied and to be aaeoneed upon paid property is six and 50/100 (06.50) dollars per front feot.;t utting on said portion of said street; and the City Treasurer is hereby authorised and directed to assess said property in aedordanne with the provisions of,this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned. The property hereby assessed consists of ti+e following describe lots and pieeea of ground, to-wit: Beginning thirty-three (33) foot east of the southeast corner of block 88, plat "A", running thane') north six hundred and ninety- three (093) feet; all of lots 8 and 9, block 1, and all of lot B, 64 II -?- .ibleak 2, plat "I", Salt Lake City Survey, also part of Section 31, kewnehip 1 north, ranee 1 east' of Salt Lake Meridian,beginning at the northeast corner of State Street and Canyon Road, and running I; thenee north one hundred and sixty-four and A7/100 (184.47) feet, abutting on tail street and extondir,g back twenty-five_ feet from each silo thereof, as the cave app• r and are shown upon the li eftielea plats of said City. The total a aunt of said tax to be so levied and oolleetod et the rate of six and 50/l00 (24.,80) dollars per linear front foot if eight thousand three hundred and ninety-two and 9/100 ($8392.09) dollars.. EMOTION 2.. That said tax levied as aforosaid upon maid property shall become delinquent as follows; three.foerths (3/4) of the total amount so levied shall heeeme delinquent Anaust 15th, _,1902; and one-fourth (1/4) on the 30th day of Jude.l90S. I., 4he aemeed inets)leent j shall draw interest ly at the rate of 7% per annum from the time of the levy aforesaid, and If any or either of said installments shall he un aid when they be- come delinquent, interest thereon shall be at the•rate of l0W per I� I annum until such delinquent installments are fully paid. SECTION 3.. That the entire amount of tax so levied and ansesse 4 on said property may be paid by the owner of any of said property, or the entire equal proportion of said tax upon any piety of proper- I ty may be paid by any person on any part thereof within ninety (90) daps from Said levy, and thereafter foot pleecs or portions or property affected by this tax shall be exempt from anylien or it charge therefor.
