An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on the east side of Sixth East Street between South Temple and First
South Streets,in Sewer District No. 1, for the construction of a
sewer.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the City Counoil does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment talon the property hereinafter described
abutting on the east side of Sixth East Street between South Temple
and First South Streets, in Sewer District No. 1.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
sewer upon said portion of said street opposite the property here-
inafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said
improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established
that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full
amount of the tax hereby levied, and MI said parcels of land are
hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the
linear foot frontage upon said portion of said street fronting upon
and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax
hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is seven
hundred and ninety-three ($793.00) dollars or one and 30/100 ($1.30)
dollars per front or linear foot, and the Treasurer is hereby author_
iced and empowered to assess in accordance with the provisions of
this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned, the north 140 feet
of lot 2, all of lots 3 and 4, and the south 140 feet of lot 5,
block 60, plat "B", Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown
upon the official plats of said City to a depth of twenty-five (25)
feet back from said street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
