Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Sections 27 and 29 of an ordinance
passed. by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, February
18, 1915, relating to travel and traffic upon the streets of Salt
Lake City, Utah.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Sections 27 and 29 of an ordinance pass-
ed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, February
18, 1915, relating to travel and traffic upon the streets of Salt
Lake City, Utah, be, and they are each of them hereby amended so
as to read as follows:
Sec. 27, Right-of-way. Except as herein otherwise pro-
vided, every person in charge of a vehicle traveling on a
street in any direction, shall have the right-of-way over ve-
hicles approaching him from the left.
Sec. 29. Signaling when about to stop, turn or back.
Every person in chage of a. vehicle when about to stop, shall
signal persons in charge of vehicles in the rear by raising
the hand, and in case such person is about to turn off the
street or turn around, he shall indicate to persons in charge
of vehicles in the rear with his hand the direction in which
he proposes to turn.
No person in charge of a vehicle shall back the same
without ample warning having been given by him; and while
backing unceasing vigilance must be exercised not to injure
persons or property in the rear.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
