AN ORDINANCE . / G +'
An ordinance requiring the payment of a license by persons, fir
associations and corporations engaged in the business of manufaoturin
or supplying merchandise or any other commodity, and using wagons or
vehicles for the hauling or delivery of the same within the corporate
limits of Salt Lake City.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, assooia-
tion or corporation to engage in, carry on, conduct, manage of pera
the business of manufacturing or supplying of merchandise/16r any othe
commodity and using wagons or eft * vehicles for the hauling or deliv
ery of the same within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City, whethe
such wagons or vehicles are owned or operated by or for such person,
without first procuring a license so to do.
SECTION 2. Persons required to pay a license under the provisions
of Seotion 1 of this ordinance, shall pay to Salt Lake City annually,

in advance, the sum of 11/�" for each and every wagon or other
vehicle used in the hauling or ,�elivery of suoh merchandise or other
oeinodity. The license hereby fixed shall be in addition to any
other license that may be paid by the persons affected.
SECTION 3. All vehicles licensed under the provisions shall hair
fastened upon the right hand side thereof in such manner that the s
,may be plainly seen, a metallic plate, to be furnished by the License
Assessor, said plate to be six by eight inohes in size, bearing the
'words "Licensed Vehicle", the number of the plats, and the year .for
which it is issued, said plate to be paid for by the licensee.
SECTION 4. Any person, firm, association or corporation violati g
