AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 136 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, as amended by an ordinance
passed by the Board of Commissioners on November 26, 1952, pertain-
ing to Social Security System extended to city employees and offi-
cers.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 136 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, an ordinance passed by the Board of Com-
missioners on the 20th day of May, 1947, and known as Bill No. 45,
as amended by an ordinance passed by the Board of Commissioners on
November 26, 1952, and known as Bill No. 55, pertaining to Social
Security System extended to city employees and officers, be and the
same is hereby further amended by amending paragraph (a) thereof,
which shall read as follows:
"(a) That the present City Pension Retirement System
shall be and is hereby terminated as of December 30, 1952."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective imme-
diately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its
first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah, this 18th day of December A.D. 1952./'
