AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 14-1-4 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to oaths of chief,
deputy chief, fire marshal and assistant chiefs.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 14-1-4 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965,, relating to oaths of chief,
deputy chief, fire marshal and assistant chiefs, be, and the same
hereby is, amended as follows:
Sec. 14-1-4. Oaths of chief, deputy chief, fire marshal
and assistant chiefs. The chief, deputy chief, fire marshal
and assistant chiefs of the fire department shall, before
entering upon the duties of their respective offices, take
and subscribe the constitutional oath of office.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect 30 days after
its first publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 9th day of May , 1979.
