That the Board of Commissioners of Salt sake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment o' the same upon the property hereinafter described in Lighting District No. 2, of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of operating and maintaining for a period of one year from •t October 29, 1919 to Octobe 29, 1920, fourteen appropriate standards of special design heretofore erected along Main Street (seven standards on each side in each IlockUin said District, each standard carrying three inverted ornamented 6.6 ampere luminous arc lamps 210 in number in said district, to-wic: In Lots 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 39; 1 and 8, Block 40;;1, 6 and 7, Block 51; 4 and 5, Block 52; 2, 3, 4 and 5, Block 57; 1 land 8, Block 58; 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 69; 4 and 5, Block 70; 2, 3, 4and 5, Block -1- 66 it ,75; and 1 and 8, Block 76, and abutting on said Main Street ;between South Temple and Fifth south Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of operating and maintaining for a period of one year fron October 29, 1919, to 'October 29, 1920, fourteen appropriate standards of special design heretofore ereeted along Main Street (seven standards on :each side in each block) in said district, each standard carrying ,:three inverted ornamented 6.6 ampere luminous are lamps, 210 in ,number, in said district, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described will be especially benefited thereby to the Pull amount 'of the tax hereby levied and assessed, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance ,with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street, lots and blocks fronting upon and to a depth of fifty (50) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is eleven thousand one hundred eighty one and 50/100 (11,181.50) dollars, or one and 8056657/ 0000000 (41.8056637) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting prop- erty, which is the total cost and coat per front foot of the 'abutters' portion of said improvement, according to the contract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement, with the Utah Power & Light Company, dated October 29, 1919, and there is hereby assessed for the purpose herein mentioned, the following property, to-wit: The west side of Lots 2, 4 and 5, the west side of the north 117.75 feet , and the west side of the south 37.25 feet of Lot 3, Block 39; the east side of Lot 1, the east side of the south 110.22 feet and the east side of the north 156.24 feet of Lot 8, Block 40; the east side of the south 117 feet of Lot 1, the east side of Lot 6, and the east side of the north 132 feet of Lot 7, Block 51; the west side of the south 179 feet, and the west side -2- li I of the north 85 feet of Lot 4, and the west side of Lot 5, Block, 52; the west side of Lots 2, 4 and 5, the west side of the north 27 feet, and the west side of the south 128 feet of Lot 3, Block 57; the east side of Lots 1 and 8, Block 58; the east side of Lots 1, 6, 7 and 8, Block 69; the west side of Lots 4 and 5, Block 70; the west side of Lots 2, 4 and 5, and the west side of the ,:north 153 feet of Lot 3, Block 75; and the east side of Lots 1 and 8, Block 76, all in Plat "&", Salt Lake City Survey, as appears upon the assessment lists and plats as prepared by the:,City Engineer, and filed with the City Recorder, as provided in ;Sections 2 and 3 of Chapter 96 of the Laws of Utah, 1915. SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in thirty days after this ordinance becomes effective. The whole tax may be paid within thirty days after this ordinance becomes effective, and if so paid, a discount of three per cent will be ,allowed thereon. Default in payment of such tax when due shall cause the whole of the same to become payable immediately, and the whole amount thereof shall thereafter draw interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annum until the day of sale, but at any time prior to the day of sale the amount of said tax may be paid. together with interest at the rate of 8 per cent per annuli, ! together with accrued costs. , SECTION 3.
