AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ITEM 1 of SECTION 10-2-1, of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, relating to applications and
annual fees for electrical licenses.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Item 1 of Section 10-2-1 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1955, relating to applications and annual fees
for electrical licenses, be, and the same is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"Sec. 10-2-1. Applications and Fees.
Item 1. Application8; Annual Fees.
(a) Applicants for Electrical licenses shall apply in
writing on forms furnished by the Division of Electrical
Inspection. In addition to the form provided, each applicant
shall furnish three letters of reference from persons who are well
acquainted with his good character and reputation, and three
Ca letters of reference from present and previous employers as to
the quality and nature of his electrical work performance.
The applicant shall have a High School education or equivalent,
plus four years of experience with licensed electrical contractors;
or in lieu thereof, the applicant shall have at least six years
of practical experience with licensed electrical contractors in
the installation of electrical equipment, or equivalent experience
in responsible electrical engineering work.
• (b) Annual Fees. Before an applicant can be permitted to
appear before the Board of Review, and for the annual renewal
of a license, fees must be paid to the City License Assessor as
follows:
Electrical Contractor's License 035.00
Electrical Sign Contractor's License 25.00
Electrical Maintenance License "A" 20.00
Electrical Maintenance License "B" 10.00
Licenses will be granted without further charge."
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is
necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt Lake
City that this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first publi-
cation. f)�
