AN ORDINANCE VACATING a portion of Fifth West between Eighth
and Ninth South Streets.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That a portion of Fifth West between Eighth and
Ninth South Streets, more particularly described as follows, be, and
the same hereby is, 'eacr:tec and declared no longer to be public
property for use as a street, avenue, alley or pedestrian way:
Beginning at a point which is North 89°56'40" East 65.25
feet from the Southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Plat
"C", Salt Lake City Survey, said point being also on the
north R/W line of 9th South Street and the center line
of 5th West Street and running thence North 0°01' West
660.0 feet to a point on the south R/W line of 8th South
Street, thence East 31.48 feet, thence South 0°01' East
660.0 feet, thence West 31.48 feet to the point of
beginning. Containing 0.48 acres.
Said vacation is made expressly subject to all existing rights of
way and easements of all public utilities of any and every description
now located in, on, under or over the confines of the above described
property, and also subject to the rights of entry thereon for the purpose
of maintaining, repairing, replacing, removing, altering or rerouting
said utilities and all of them.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,

CONSENT TO VACATION
WHEREAS, The Eimco Corporation is the title holder in fee of Lots 2 and 3
of Block 9, Plat A, Salt Lake City Survey; and
WHEREAS, Galigher Company is the title holder in fee of Lots 4 and 5 of
Block 9, Plat A, Salt Lake City Survey; and
WHEREAS, the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad Co. is the title holder
in fee of Lots 1 and 8 of Block 1, Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey and also the title
holder in fee of the following described tract, being that portion of Fifth West Street
which was vacated on May 13, 1957, and conveyed to The Denver and Rio Grande
Western Railroad Co. on June 18, 1957:
1 Beginning at the NE corner of Block 1, Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey;
`I e and running thence South 660,0 feet, along the East line of said Block 1,

Fifth West Street between Eighth South and Ninth South; and
WHEREAS, the Portland Cement Company of Utah has filed a petition for
vacation of Fifth West Street between Eighth South and Ninth South except for the
East 35 feet thereof, and the sale of the vacated portion thereof to the Denver and Rio
Grande Western Railroad Co,
