HomeMy WebLinkAbout66 of 1980 - Adding sections 27-9-4 and 27-9-5 establishing tennis court use and picnic facilities reservation fe ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Chapter 9 of Title 27 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fees for use of facilities, by adding new Sections 27-9-4 and 27- 9-5. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City: SECTION 1. That Chapter 9 of Title 27 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fees for use of facilities, be, and the same hereby is, amended by adding new Sections 27-9-4 and 27-9-5 as follows: Sec. 27-9-4. Tennis court use fee. (1) Any person or persons desiring to play the game of tennis upon any tennis court located in Liberty Park shall pay for the use of such court at the rate of $1.00 per hour during any of the following times: (a) Weekdays from 5:00 p.m. until closing. (b) Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 8:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. (2) Play on any other tennis court owned by the City or on any court located in Liberty Park during hours other than as shown above shall he free of charge. Sec. 27-9-5. Picnic facilities reservation fee. Any person, organization or group desiring to reserve picnic facilities shall pay a fee for the use of such facilities according to the following schedule: (1) Bowery accommodating up to 99 persons S10.00 (2) Bowery accommodating 100 to 199 persons 15.00 (3) Bowery accommodating 200 to 299 persons 20.00 (4) Bowery accommodating 300 or more persons 25.00 (5) Washington Park and Mountain Dell Terraces 30.00 SECTION 2. In the opinion of the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah, it is necessary to the health, peace and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance, except for Section 27-9-5, become effective immediately. SECTION 3. This ordinance shall become effective upon the date of its first publication, with the exception of Section 27- 9-5 which shall take effect January 1, 1981.
