Green Nes n Mr. Chairman Result AN •ORDINANCE An Ordinance vacating Sixth South Street from the east side of Tenth West Street to the Jordan liver in Salt Lake City, Utah, and granting a permit to the Board of Education of Salt Lake City to build and maintain a foot bridge across the Jordan River. Be it ordained by the Board of Colomissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah. SECTION 1. That Sixth South Street between the east side / of Tenth West Street and the Jordan River in Salt Lake City, Utah, be and said portion of said street is hereby vacated said abandoned as a public street, and the exclusive right to occupy and use the same for a public school building and grounds is hereby granted to the Board of Education of Salt Lake City. Provided, however, that there is hereby reserved to Salt Lake City the right to construct and maintain in and upon said vacated street sewer and water mains and there is also reserved in the fountain States Telephone & Lele- graph Company the right to maintain its telephone and telegraph underground wires in/conduit within said vacated street, There is hereby ;ranted to the Board of Education of Salt Lake City the right to construct and maintain a foot bridge across the Jordan River from said portion of said vacated street to the west end of Sixth South Street where the same abuts the Jordan and River for a landing- for said foot bridge; said Board of Education. -1- • • i i I • � • J, to maintain said foot bridge at all times in a. reasonably safe condition for travel and to hold Salt Lake City harmless from any and all claims for damage on account of the construction or maintenance of said bridge.
