Result
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property
(sidewalk extension and construction of private driveways #240) for the
purpose of constructing cement sidewalks and driveways.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
dons hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon
the property hereinafter described (sidewalk extension and construction
of private driveways #21{0) for the purpose of constructing cement side-
walks and driveways, to-wit:
Commencing 33 ft. west of the southeast corner of Lot 4,
Block 7, 5 Acre Plat "C", Big Field Survey; thence west
600 ft.; thence north 65.83 ft.; thence west 125 ft.; thence
north 54 ft.; thence east 725 ft.;. thence south 118.09 ft.;
to point of beginning.
Commencing 33 ft. west of the northeast corner of Lot 4,
Block 7, 5 Acre Plat "C", Big Field Survey; thence south
121.17 ft.; thence west 725 ft.; thence north 59.5 ft.;
thence east 125 ft.; thence north 59.5 ft.; thence east
600 ft. to point of beginning.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing cement
sidewalks and private driveways as follows:
FOUR (1i) FOOT WALK
North side of Hollywood Avenue between 19th and 20th East.
South side of Hollywood Avenue between 19th and 20th East.
West side of 20th East, 121.17 feet north and 118.09 feet south
from Hollywood Avenue.
22 SINGLE DRIVEWAYS AND 1 DOUBLE DRIVEWAY
10 single driveways and 1 double driveway fronting on the north
side of Hollywood Avenue between 19th and 20th East.
12 single driveways fronting on the south side of Hollywood Avenue
between 19th and 20th East;
upon the portions of said streets opposite the property hereinbe-
fore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and bene-
fited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined
and established that said property will be especially benefited
thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied and said parcels
of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accord-
ance with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth
of the same ownership back therefrom not exceeding 330 feet, and
the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land
is Four Thousand Two Hundred Thirty Four and 15/100 Dollars;
Three Thousand Four Hundred Seventy Three and 15/100, or Two and
50/100 Dollars per linear or front foot of abutting property for
constructing four (14) foot walk; and Seven Hundred Sixty One
Dollars for private driveways as specifically set out hereinafter;
the cost of which driveways and the property benefited thereby is
hereinafter set out and all within the boundaries of the lots,
blocks and streets above mentioned, which is the total abutters'
cost and cost per front foot of said improvement according to the
contract entered into for the performance of said work and making
said improvements with Newell J. Olsen & Sons, dated July 22, 1953,
and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purposes
herein mentioned:
