Green 4 Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of property in Paving District No. 32. (Paving Extension No. 189) for the purpose of grading, constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, curb and gutter, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with warrenite bitulithic pavement thereof. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Dis- trict No. 32 (Paving littatudon No. 189) for the purpose of grading, constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, curb and gutter, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs and paving with warrenite bitulithic pavement thereof, to-wit: Lots 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 19 and 2.0 of Block 20 - 5 Acre, Plat A; Lots 29 to 38 inclusive, Pendletons Sub.; Lots 11 to 20 inclusive of Block 2, Lots 1 to 15 inclusive of Block 3, and Lots 1 to 10 inclusive of Block 6, Gordon Plat; Lots 1 to 10 inclusive of Block 1, Lead- ville Place; Lots 1 to 7 incl. of Bik. 1, and Lots 1 to 12 incl. of Blk. 2, Carolina Sub.; Lots 2 to 16 incl. of Blks. 2. and 3, Denver Place Amended Plat, and Lots 23 to -2- 28 incl. of Block 1, and Lots 30 to 42 incl. of Block 2, Lyndale Sub.; all in Block 20, 5-Acre Flat "A", Big Field Survey, abutting on both sides of 4th East Street from 9th tc 13th South Streets in salt Lake City, Utah. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, curb and gutter, private driveways, installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs with warrenite bitulithic and paving.4th Bast Street from 9th to 13th South Streets, said pavement to be forty-four (44) feet wide between curbs with double track, and all of said pavement to be eight (8) inches thick with six (6) inch concrete base and two (2) inch wearing surface of warreniti bitulithic, the portions of said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth hack therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Thirty-one Thousand, Nine Hundred Ninety-four and 59/100 (631,994.59) Dollars; Thirty Thousand Five Hundred Eighteen and 19/100 (630,518.19) Dollars or Six and 03/100 (06.03) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for said forty-four (44) foot roadway, there being 5,061.06 feet abutting said por- tion of said improvement; Four Hundred Eighteen and 00/100 (0418. 0) Dollars for private driveways, there being thirty-eight (38) pri- vate driveways at Eleven (011.00) Dollars per driveway; Five Hun- dred four and 00/100 (:504.00) Dollars for sewer laterals, there being twenty-one (all' sewer laterals at Twenty-four (624.00) Dol- lars for each sewer lateral; Five Hundred Fifty-four and 40/100 (6554.40-) Dollars for water services, there being thirty-six (36) water services at Fifteen and 40/100 (015.40) Dollars for each '11 -3- water service, the_ cost'of installing which water services and sewer laterals and the cost of construction of which driveways land the property benefited thereby is hereinafter set out, and all within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district, which is the total abutters' cost land cost per front foot of said improvement, according to the aonH tract entered into for the performance of said work and making said improvement with Gibbons & Reed Go., Contractor, dated the • 19th day of June, 1924, and the City Treasurer is hereby author- lived and directed to assess, in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned: FORTY-FOUR FOOT ROADWAY. That the assessment list made by the City Treasurer as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of this ordinance in Paving =r>tension No. 189, of Salt Lake City, 1 ;for the purpose of grading, constructing drainage system to carry water across and along streets and intersections, curb and gutter, private driveways., installing water services and sewer connections to back of curbs ,Sad.-paving with warrenite bitulithic thereof, is hereby confirmed'and the assessments made and returned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board of Equalization and Review to the Board of:Commissioners of Salt Lake City, are here- by ratified, approved end confirmed. SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal yearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest on the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any installment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at the time said_ installment and interest are due, shall become due and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent per annum until the sale of the property assessed. SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day lafter its publication.
