An ordinance amending Section 806 of Chapter XXXI11, of the
Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah 1934, relating to munici-
pal government.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
Section 1. That Section 806 of Chapter XXX111, of the Re-
vised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to municipal
government, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
Sec. 806. Building Superintendent. Department of Public
Safety. There is hereby created the office of Building Superinten-
dent in the Department of Public Safety. The Board of Commissioners
of Salt Lake City may appoint a competent person to the office of
Building Superintendent in the Department of Public Safety who shall
receive a salary of not to exceed $2700.00 per annum, payable semi-
monthly, and who shall perform such duties as may be prescribed by
the Commissioner of the Department of Public Safety.
Section 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediately.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
