AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 20-13-1, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to licensing of private detectives,
by adding thereto a new subsection (a), requiring employees to be
licensed.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 20-13-1, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1965, relating to licensing of private detectives,
by adding thereto a new subsection (a), requiring employees to be
licensed, be, and, the same hereby is, amended to read as follows:
(a) Licensing of employees required. No person may
be engaged by any licensee to work at the occupation of
private detective, investigator, watchman, guard or private
patrolman unless said person shall have paid the sum of $4.00
and shall have complied with all provisions of this chapter,
except Sections 20-13-4 and 20-13-5.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it is
necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake Ci , Utah,
this 5th day of June, 1974.
