AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 609 of the Revised Ordi-
nances of halt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the law depart-
ment.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 609 of the Revised ordinances
of halt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to the law department,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
SEC. 609. CHIEF CLERS.. The board of commissioners shall
employ a suitable person as chief clerk of the law department
at a salary not exceeding $2100.00 per annum, payable semi-
monthly, (which amount includes the $10.00 as provided in Bill
No. 9, published April 23, 1943).
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effecti'7e immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall tak 6ffec pon its
