An ordinance wending and rr-enaeting Section 383 of Chapter
XXVII of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903.
Be it ordained by the City Cereil of Salt Late City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Beetles 343 of Chapter XXVII of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City of 1903, be, and the same is hereby
amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 383. AMOUNT OF LICENSE. POND. Emery person ap-
plying for a license as pawnbroker, shall, before resolving
such license, pay into the City Treasury #Ys a lieesse tax of
one hundred (5100.00) dollars per a.nnua (se such license to be
issued fora lose period than six (®) menthe) and shall before
reeeiving such license enter tat, a joint ant several bond,
with eerperate surety to be appr.t.d by the Mayer, in the penal
sum of esAr thousand (51000.00) dollars, conditioned for the
faithful observance of all ordinances meeting pawnbrokers;
yravtdsd, that the lieease provided for in this section shall
not perait the licensee to conduct the business of a merchant.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
