Green Stewart Mr. Chairman Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE LETTING A TA[ and for the assessment of property in Paving District so. 32 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 52) for the purpose of providing for the grading, constructing drainage system, concrete curb and gutter and private driveways, and laying tile drains. be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City does gereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Dis- trict No. 32 (Curb & Gutter Extension No. 52) for the purpose of providing for the grading, constructing drainage system, concrete curb and gutter, private driveways, and laying tile drains on 9th South Street from 11th to lath East Streets, to-wit: In Lots 29 to 56 incl. of Blk. 14, and Lots 29 to 55• incl. of Blk. 15 of Fremont heights, Sub. of Elks. 2 and 3 and part of BiThe.1 and 4, Plat "F", Salt Lake City Survey; Lots 16 and 9 to 14 incl. of :31k. "B", Amended .plat of Blks. "A" and "B" of Gilmer Park Sub., and Lots 23 to 40 incl. of Blk. "E" of Gilmer Park sub. of Blk. 17-A, 5 Acre Plat "A", Big Field Survey. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, constructing drainage system, concrete curb and gutter and drive- r�� ways, and laying tile drains, said grading to be sixty (60) feet a r, between curbs with 't.thirty (30) inch gutter on both sides of j -2- !I I9th South Street from llth to 13th Last Streets, the portion of said street, opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improve# meat, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said propetty will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street, front lag upon and to the entire depth back therefrom, and the tax here; by levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is Fourteen Thousand, Eight Hundred 'Thirty-nine and 10/100 (014,839.10) Dol- lars; Thirteen Thousand, Light Hundred Thirty-nine and 10/100 (413,839.10) Dollars or Five and 09/100 (45.09) Dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property for sixty (60) foot roadway, there being 2718.88 feet of abutting property; Thirty and 00/100 (060.00) Dollars for private driveways, there being one private p i driveway at Thirty (430.00) Dollars; Four Hundred Eighty and 00/100 (4480.00) Dollars for private driveways, there being eight (8) private driveways at Sixty (060.00) Dollars for each private ii driveway; Fbur Hundred Ninety and 00/100 (0490.00) Dollars for private driveways, there being seven (7) private driveways at Seventy ( 70.00) Dollars for each private driveway; within the boundaries of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said district; which is the total abutters' cost and cost per foot front,,of said improvement, according to the dontract entered into lil for the performance of said work and making said improvement with 1 Enoch Smith, dated the 15th day of September, 1924, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in accord-, ante with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose herein mentioned. SECTION 2. That the assessment list made by the City jiTreasurer, as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of ',Eaualization and Review of the property described in Section I of jthie ordinance in Paving District No. 32 (Curb & Gutter Extension Sao. 52) of Salt Lake City, for the purpose of providing for the Igrading, constructing drainage system, concrete curb and gutter, .. -4- land private driveways, and laying tile drains upon said portion bf said street, is hereby confirmed, and the assessments made and eturned in said completed lists, and the report of the Board of 1 ' qualization and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City are hereby ratified, approved and confirmed. SECTION 3. Said tax shall be payable in five equal rearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interest the whole sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, ayable at the time each installment is due. In the event any in- Stallment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the Same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at th time said installment and interest are due, shall become due and Payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per cent der annum until the sale of the property assessed. SECTION 4.
