74 of 1910 - Ordinance 74 of 1910 – Sewer Extension No. 228, Third & Final Estimate. 61 AN ORDINANCE . An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of q g property in the territory between West Capitol and Second West Streets, and be- tween Fourth North Street and Fern Avenue, in Sewer Districts Bos. 1 and 2, for the construction of sewers. Be it ordained by the City Counoil of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same upon the property heriinafter described in Sewer Districts Nos. 1 and 2, for the construction of severs, to•.wit: and In Lots 1, 6 and 7, Block 23; 3,,4, Block 24; 3 end 4, Block 26; 1 and 2, Block 27; 2 and 3, Block 28, Flat "E"; 1, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 139, Plat "A"; part of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 25, Township 1 north, Range 1 west; in Lots 2 and 3, Block 29, Plat "E", abutting on the west side of Center Street be- tween Fourth North and Fifth North Streets; on the east side of Center Street between Fourth North Street and Clinton Avenue; on the south side of Fifth North Street between First West and Second West Streets; on the north side of Sixth North Street between First West and Seeondl West Streets; on theieast side of First West Street between Clinton Avenue and Sixth North Street; and on the west side of First West Street between Fifth North and Sixth North Streets. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing vitri- fied pipe sewers light (8), ten (104, and twelve (12) inches in diame- ter upon the portions of said streets opposite the property herein- before and hereinafter described to be especially affected and bene- fited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land! ate hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting ! upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is ' !"X' it -2- • three thousand four hundred forty-seven and 95/100 (t3 447.95) dollar; lone thousand two hundred thirty-two and 951100 ($1,232.95) dollars, or one and 5109573/10,000,000 (41.5109573) dollars per front or linear I'foot of abutting property for sewer on side of streets, there being 1816 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; and two thousand -two hundred fifteen ($2,215.00) dollars or 7554787/10,000,000 1( 0.7554787) dollars per front or linear foot of abutting property ,,for sewer in center of streets, there being 2931.92 feet of abutting property within the bounderies of the lots, blocks and streets above mentioned in said districts, which is the total oo>t and cost per front 1foot of said sewers, according to the contract entered into for the ,Iperformanoe of said work end making said improvement with Jemes Ken- i ,moody Construction Company, dated the 16th day of November, 1909, and Ithe Treasurer is hereby authorized and direoted to assess in accordance 1with the provisions of this ordinf:nce for 11.e purpose herein mentionedl.: Sewer on Side of Streets. The west side of Lot 3, the west side of the north 140 feet of '!Lot 2, Block 29, Plat "E"; the east side of the south 74 feet of Lot 6, the east side of Lots 7 and 8, the east side of the north 140 feet' jjof Lot 1, Block 139, Plat "A". Sewer in Center of Streets. The east side of the south 106.78 feet of Lot 6, the east side jof Lot 7, the east side of the north 109.49 feet of Lot 1, Block 23; 'the west side of the north 175.89 feet of Lot 3, the west side of thej south 177.98 feet of Lot 4, Block 24; the west side of the north )173.58 feet of Lot 3, the west side of the south 172.43 feet of Lot 4 Block 26; the east side of Lot 2, the east side of the north 106.99 i feet of Lot 1, Block 27; the west side of the north 109.56 feet of Lot 2, the west side of the south 112.08 feet of Lot 3, Block 28, Plat "E"; the north side of Lots 5 and 6, Block 139, Flat "A"; the south 'side of that part of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter Section 25, Township 1 north, Pange 1 west, frosting on the north i I -3 aide of Sixth North Street between First West and Second West Street&, Salt Lake City Survey, as the same are shown upon the official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back from said streets, and to collect said tax. SECTION 2.
