Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on Eleventh East Street from Yale Avenue to a point 287 feet north
of Twelfth South Street, in Paving District No. 31, for the purpose
of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering, constructing
waterways across street intersections, and laying pipes for irriga-
tion purposes back of curb, constructing private driveways,installing water water services, and paving thereof.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissicners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City
does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of the same
upon the property hereinafter described in Paving District No. 31,
for the purpose of providing for the grading, curbing and guttering,
constructing waterways across street intersections, laying pipes for
irrigation purposes back of curb, constructing private driveways,
installing 'enter services, and paving thereof, to-wit:
In Lots 42 to 51, inclusive, Block 3; 42 to 46, inclusive, Block
2, Park View Subdivision, Block 17-A; 2, 3 and 6, Block 17-A; 52 to
59, inclusive, Block 10, Pelt's Subdivision, Block 16-A; and 11,

Block 16-A, all in/Big Field Survey, abutting on the east side of
Eleventh East Street between Yale and Harrison Avenues.
This tax is levied to Cefrc.y the expense of t,rt.ding, curbing
and guttering with cement, constructing waterways across street

intersections, end laying pipes for irrigation purposes beck of
curb (said waterways end pipes to consist of vitrified, concrete
and wrought iron pipe) , eonstructing private driveways, installing
voter services, and paving with sheet asphalt (said sheet asphalt
pavement to be forty-four (44) feet between curbs and eight (a)
inches thick, with five (5) inch concrete base, one and one-half
(1i) inch binder ^nd one end one-half (1i) inch topping of sheet
asphalt) , the portions of said street opposite the property herein
before and horcinaftee (eccribed to be especially affected and
benefited by said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, deter-
mined and established that said property will he especially bene-
fited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and
said parcels of land are hereby assessed et an equal and uniform
rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portion-
of said. street fronting upon and to a depth Off of twenty-five (25)
feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed
upon 3eid parcels of land is ninety-one 'hundred sixty-eight and
53/100 (0168.53) dollars; ninety hundred six.* and Z/100 (09060.0 )
dollars, or five and 27/100 (5.27) dollars per front or linear foo'
of abutting property for seid forty-four foot roadway, there being
1719.17 feet abutting said portion of said improvement; fifty-six
( 56.00) dollars, or fourteen (w14.00) dollars for each private
driveway, there being four private driveways, and fifty-two and
50/l00 (42.50) dollars, or ten and 50/100 (0.0.50) dollars for
each water service, there being five water services, the cost of
the construction of which and the property benefited' thereby is
hereinafter set out, all within the boundaries of tll- lots, blocks
and street above mentioned in said district, which is the total co-t

SECTIOIZ 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in ten
equal yearly installments, with interest on the 1iole sum unpaid
et the rote of six wer cent per annum, payable at the time each
installment is due, to-wit; One-tenth thereof 07.E year enter the
ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the payment for such
improvement becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in two years afte

said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in three years
after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in four
years e:7er said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in
five years after said ordinance becomee effective; one-t-rth there
of in six years efter said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth
thereof in seven peers after said ordinance becomes effective; one
tenth thereof in eight peers after said ordinance becomes effectiv
one-tenth thereof in nine years after said ordinance becomes
effective; anet one tenth thereof in ten years after said ordinance
becomes effective. One or mere of said installments, in the order
in which they are payable, or the whole special tax, may be paid
at, any time wit) in thirty days after the ordinance confirming the
lnvp of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In the event
of any installment or the interact aforesaid not being paid on the
date the same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax
unpaid at the time said installment and inters t are due, shall
become due and parable, and shall drew interest at the rate of
eight per Dent per annum until the sale of the property assessed;
provided, one or more installments, in the order in which they are
payable, or the whole special tax unpaid, may be paid on the day
eny installment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof and
interest to said date.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shell take effect one day after
its first publication.
