AN ORDINANCE AMEND
ING Section 46-9-177, Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, by adding thereto a new subsection 46-9-177.1,
relating to registration of a camper.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 46-9-177, Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake
City, Utah, 1965, by adding thereto a new subsection 46-9-177.1, relating
to registration of a camper, be, and the same hereby is, amended to read
as follows:
Sec. 46-9-177.l. It shall be unlawful for any person to
operate a motor vehicle with a camper mounted on it upon
the streets or roads located within the corporate limits of
Salt Lake City,unless said camper is currently registered
and the appropriate decal is attached in plain sight to the
rear of said camper as required by the laws of the State of
Utah; provided, however, that a non-resident owner of a
motor vehicle currently registered and licensed in another
state with an out-of-state camper mounted on it is excluded
from the provisions of this subsection.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the
residents of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective
immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
Passed by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah,
this 12th day of June, 1974.
