An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property on both sides of Fourth, Fifth. and Sixth Streets from the west line of A Street to the Center line of N Street, and on both sides of all cross streets from A Street to Y Street, inclusive, and on the west side of N Street between the north line of Third Street and the north line of Sixth Street, not previously included in a sidewalk extension, in Sidewalk District No. 24, for the construction of cement sidewalks. Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION 1. This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing cement sidewalks four (4) feet wide and four (4) inches thick upon said portions of said streets opposite the property hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by said improvement, and it, is hereby adjudged, determined and established that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount of the tax hereby levied, and avid parcels of land are hereby assessed at au equal and uniform rate in accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is thirty-nine thousand four hundred and fifty-two ($39,452.00) dollars, or 80/100 ($0.80) dollar per front or linear foot, which is the estimated total cost and es- timated cost per linear foot of said sidewalks, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized ariA directed to assess in accordance Frith the pro- visions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned: Fronting on A Street: All of Lots 1 and 4, Block 71; SICTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in six (6) equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-sixth thereof shall be- come delinquent one month after the approval of this ordinance; one- sixth thereof in one year after such approval; one-sixth thereof in two years after such approval; one-sixth thereof in three years af- ter such "approval; oneMsixth thereof in four years after such appro- yal; and one-sixth these of in five years after such approval. Zach and every;installment of said tax except the first, shall draw in- terest at the rate of six per cent per annum from date of levy until delinquent, and each and every installment of said tax shall bear I interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum from and after its date of delinquency. SSECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
