Agraz Greener _ _ tram Campbell Phillips Result AN ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING Section 25-4-4 and Salary Schedule "Group V" as contained in Section 25-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, pertaining to salaries for elected officials and salary ranges for Executive Level employees of the City. Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah. SECTION 1. That Section 25-4-4 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, pertaining to salaries for elected officials of Salt Lake City, Utah, be, and the same hereby is amended as follows: Sec. 25-4-4. Salaries of Elected Officials. The salaries of the Mayor, City Commissioners and City Auditor shall be as follows: Mayor $2,904.00 per month City Commissioners $2,760.00 per month City Auditor $2,507.00 per month SECTION 2. That Executive level salary ranges specified in Salary Schedule "Group V", as contained in Section 25-4-3 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, be, and the same hereby are amended as follows: POSITION PER ANNUM RANGE Level 1 $33,170 — $43,870 Level 2 $29,345 — $38,939 Level 3 $25,940 - $34,204 Level 4 $22,910 - $29,805 Level 5 $20,213 - $26,323 Level 6 $18,169 - $23,508 Level 7 $15,678 - $20,172 Level 8 $13,776 - $17,621 Level 9 $12,085 - $15,371 Level 10 $10,578 - $13,258 SECTION 3. That the provision of the "Wage and Salary Administration Program for Salt Lake City Corporation Employees", ol, -2- adopted in Section 25-4-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, pertaining to the above pay classification and positions and establishing salaries therefore, be amended to conform with the above and to provide a 7% cost-of-living salary increase for all officers and employees currently in Executive Level positions with the City. SECTION 4. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, it is necessary to the peace, health and welfare of the inhabitants of Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately. SECTION 5. This ordinance shall be retroactive in effect to April 1, 1979, and shall take effect upon its first publication with the exception that the provisions hereof shall not become effective until June 15, 1979, for Executive Level Employees of the Civil Engineering Division of the Department of Public Works and shall thereupon effect salary increases of up to 7% in only such positions as have been approved for increase by the Board of Salt Lake City r Commissioners based upon job and salary audits to be completed by said date.
