An ordinance levying a tax upon the property abutting on both
aides of Pest Temple Street from the south side of Fourth South
Street to the north side of Fifth South Street, in Paving District
No. 25, for the purpose of providing for the grading, guttering and
curbing, and paving thereof.
le it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SUCTION 1. ,What ea.id Council does hereby levy a tax and pro-
vide for the assessment upon the real property hereinafter described
abutting on both sides of Test Temple Street from the ■olath side of
Fourth South Street to .the north side of Fifth South Street, in
Paving District No. 25, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
. This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading, guttering
and curbing with concrete, and paving with asphalt (said asphalt
pavement to be ninety-two (92) feet wide between curbs), Test Tem-
ple Street from the south side of Fourth South Street to the north
side of Fifth South Street, in said Paving District No. 25, and it
is hereby adjudged, determined and established that L :e grading,
guttering and curbing, anu paving of said street wi: 1 thereby bene-
fit the property abutting thereon, and hereinafter described, to the
full amount of the estimator. cost thereof.
Said property is to be assessed at an equal and uniform rate in
accordance with the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said
street.
The cost and expense of making said improvement is estimated at
eleven ($11.00) dollars per ,inear front foot, and the tax hereby
levied and to be assessed upon said property is eleven (011.00)
dollars per linear front foot abutting on said portion of said
street, and the City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to
assess said property, and to collect said tax in accordance with the
provisions of this ordinance for the purpose herein mentioned.
The property hereby assessed consists of title following des-
cribed lost and pieces of ground, to-grit:

All of Lots 4 and 5, Block 40, and all of Lots 1, 6, 7 ano. 8,
Block 41, Plat MAN, Salt Lake City Survey, as the same appear and
are shown upon the official plats of said City.
The total amount of said tax to be so levied and collected at
the rate of eleven ($11.00) dollars per linear front foot, is four-
teen thousand five hundred and twenty ($14,520.00) dollars, there
being 1,320 feet abutting said improvement.
SECTION 2. That said tax levied as aforesaid upon said prop-
erty shall become delinquent as follows:
One--tenth of the total amount of said tax so levied shall be-
come delinquent August 1, 1906;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1907;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1903;
One-tenth. thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1909;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1910;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1911;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1912;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1913;
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1914; and
One-tenth thereof shall become delinquent August 1, 1915.
Each of said installments except the first, shall draw interest
at the rate of six per cent eer annum from the time of this levy
until delinquent, and if any or either of said installments shall
become delinquent, interest thereon shall be at the rate of eight
per cent per annum from delinquency until such delinquent install-
ments are fully paid.
SECTION 3. That the entire amount of tax so levied and as-
sessed on said property may be paid by the owner of said. property,
or the entire equal proportion of said tax upon any piece of prop-
erty may be paid by any person on any part thereof within fifty
(50) days from said levy, and thereafter such pieces or portions of

property affected by this tax shall be exempt from any lien or
charge therefor.
SECTIOBT 4. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
