An ordinance levying P tax and for the assessrent of
property in Lal:e Street, which runs north from Ninth South Street
between Seventh East and Eighth East streets, in sewer district
No. 1, for the censtruction of a sewer.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt •
Lake City, Utal:
SECTIOh 1. That the Board of Commissioner's of Salt Lake
City , does hereby levy tbe tax and provide for toe aA-sessloent of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Sewer District
No. 1, fur the construction of fl Fewer, towit:
In Lot 2, Block 3, Plot "B", Salt Lake City Survey,
abutting on bath sides of Lake Street, In.binb runs north from Ninth
Soatli Street between Seventh East ara Eighth East streets.
This tox is levidd to defray t c cxrense of constructing
a vitrified pipe sewer eiFast (o) inches in diameter upon the portions
of said street opposite the property hereirbefore and hereinafter
described to be especially affected ana benefited by said improve-
ment, end it is hereby adjudged, determined and established that
said property will be especially benefited thereby to the full amount
of the tax 1,erel'y 7evAed, Ed id parcels of land are hereby assess- ,
ea at an equal era iliform rate in accordance with the linear foot
frontage upon said portions of said street fronting upon and to a
aeloth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax i,ereby
'evi(-C, and to be assessed upoh nhrcels of land, is four hundred
ninety seven And 97/100 (.is197:97) dollars, or one and 6012/10,000
dolltes per front or linear foot of abutling property, there
being 311 feet of abuttine property within the boundaries of the
lot, flock and street above mentioned in said district, which i.e The
total cost and cosi p,r front foot of said sewer, accordirc to the
contract entered into for the performance of said work and making
said improvement, with J. D. Mullins, dated the M5d day of June, 1913
And the Treasurer is hereby authori•xed and directed to assess, in

of tie West 55 ft. of Lot 2, the west side of the north 20 feet of
the east 82.5 feet of Lot 2, and the west vide of the south 211 feet
of the North 241 feet of the east 82.5 feet of Lot 2; all in Block
3, Plat "B", Salt Lake City Survey , ae the same are shown upon the
official plats of said city to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back
from said street, and to collect said tax.
SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delineuent in five
equal. yearly installments, with interest on the whole sum. unpaid at
the rate of six per cent perannum, payable at the time each install-
ment is due, towit: One-fifth thereof one year after the ordinance
confirming- the levy of the tax for the payment for such improvement
becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in to„ years after said ordinance
becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in three years after said ordin-
ance becomes effective; one-fifth thereof in four years after said
ordinance becomes effective, and one-fifth. thereof in five years
after sold urdirce. 'eecom.e effective. One or more installments,
in the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax,
may be paid at any time within thirty days after the ordinance con-
firming the levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In e
the event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not bei.ns paid.

come doe and payable, and shall dram interest at the rate of eight
per cent, per annum until the sale of the property assessed; provided,
one or more installments, in the order in which they axe payable, or
