AN ORDINANCE VACATING a certain recreation and playground area
in Glendale Gardens, Plat "D" and Plat "F", Salt Lake City, Utah.
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners on the recommendation of the
Commissioner of Parks and Public Property held a public hearing on
October 3, 1962, to determine the question of whether or not a certain
recreation and playground area should be vacated; and
WHEREAS, notice of said public hearing was duly advertised in
the Deseret News-Salt Lake Telegram on September 7, September 14, September
21 and September 28, 1962; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing all persons appearing were given
an opportunity to express their views concerning the proposed vacation;
and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is satisfied that there is
good cause for such vacation, that such vacation will not be detrimental
to the general interest and that it should be made and the property
involved should be conveyed to the abutting property owners.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
SECTION 1 . That the recreation and playground area in Glendale
Gardens, Plat "D" and Plat "F", more particularly described as follows:
All of Lot 2, Block 3, Glendale Gardens Plat "D", a sub-
division of parts. of Lots 74, 86, 87, 88, 89, 99, 100, 101,
and 102, Glendale Park Plat "A", and parts of the Southeast
Quarter of Section 10, and the.Southwest Quarter of Section
11 , Township 1 South, Range 1 West, Salt Lake Base and
Meridian.
All of Lot 1 , Block 7, Glendale Gardens Plat "F", a sub-
division of parts. of Lots 55 56, 74, 75, 76, 77, -78, 84, 85,
86, 87, 101, 102, 103.and 104, Glendale Park, and part of the
Southeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 1 South, Range 1
West, Salt Lake Base and Meridian.
be, and the same are vacated and declared no longer to be public property
for use as a recreation and playground area.

SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners, it
is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Salt
Lake City that this ordinance shall become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
