Result AN ORDINANCE
An ordinance amending Section 1152 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City Of 1913, with reference to special taxes.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1152 of the Revised Ordinances of
Salt Lake City of 1913, with reference to special taxes, be, end the
same is hereby amended so as to read as follows:
SECTION 1152. NOTICE OF INTENTION. In all oases before
the levy of any taxes for local improvements as provided in
Chapter 14, Compiled Laws of Utah, 1907, the board of commis-
sioners shall give notice of intention to levy said taxes,
naming the purposes for which the taxes are to be levied, which
notice shall be published at least twenty days in a newspaper
published within the city. Such notice shall describe the
improvements so proposed, the boundaries of the district to be
affected or benefited by such improvements, the estimated cost
of such improvements, and designate a time when the board of
commissioners will consider the proposed levy. If at or before
the time so fixed, written objections to such improvements,
signed by the owners of two-thirds of the front feet abutting
upon that portion of the street, lane, avenue or alley to be so
improved, be not filed with the recorder, the board of commis-
sioners shall be deemed to have acquired jurisdiction to order

the making of such improvements.
Such notice shall be substantially in the following form
NOTICE OF INTENTION.
Notice is hereby given by the board of commissioners of
Salt Lake City, Utah, of the intention of said board of com-
missioners to make the following described improvements, to-
wit:
and to defray (the whole or ) of the
cost thereof, estimated et dollars by levy
of a speoial tax to be assessed upon the lots or pieces of
ground within the following described district, being the
district to be effected or benefited by such improvement.
All protests or objections to such improvement or to the'
carrying out of such intention, must be in writing, signed by!
the owners of abutting property, describing same, together
with the number of•abutting front feet and be filed with the
city recorder on or before the day of
