Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 1318 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City of 1913, relating to rates of fare to be oharged for the
use of publio passenger vehicles, be, and the same is hereby amended
to reed as follows:
SECTION 1318. First. .A mile as used in this ordinance
shall mean seven ordinary city blocks of 660 feet, or ***
ordinary oity blocks of 330 feet each, including streets.

Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City, Utah:

use of public passenger vehicles, be, and the same is hereby amended
to read as follows:
SECTION 1318. First. A mile as used in this ordinance
shall mean seven ordinary city blooks of 660 feet or fourteen
ordinary city blocks of 330 feet each, including streets.
Second. Every passenger upon any licensed passenger
vehicle shall be allowed to have conveyed upon such vehicle,
without charge therefor, his or her ordinary hand baggage.
Third. It shall be unlawful for the owner or driver of
a licensed horse drawn vehicle parrying passengers with or
without baggage, for hire, within Salt Lake City, to demand,
collect or receive a higher rate of fare for such service than
is hereinafter in this Subdivision Third provided:
1. For carrying each passenger to a hotel from
a depot, or from a hotelxto a depot, or from one
depot to another, or from one hotel to another - - - - ; 0.50
2. For carrying each passenger not esoeeding
one mile .50

than is hereafter in this fourth subdivision provided:

(j) When charges are assessed by the hour time shall
begin when car leaves stand or garage.
1. Sight seeing automobiles, accommodating
ten or more passengers, shall not charge more than w1.00
per passenger per trip, and each trip shall not be less
than two hours' duration, end shall follow the route as
advertised by the owner or driver of such automobile.
2. Motor propelled passenger vehicles other
then sight seeing cars:
(a) For carrying passengers to a hotel or
place within the business district from a depot,
or to a depot from a hotel or place within the
business district, or from one depot to another,
or from one hotel to another, for each passenger - AO.50
(b) For carrying each passenger in cases
other than as provided in Subdivision (a) , for
the first two miles, per mile .50
For each additional mile for each passenger - .25
(o) For waiting, for every ten minutes or
fraction thereof •25
(d) For carrying baggage, valises, or suit
