Result AN ORDINANCE
AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property abutting Streets in Westmoreland Place in Paving
District No. 32 (Paving Extension 154), for the purpose of
providing for the grading, curbing where curbing is not already
constructed, guttering, constructing drainage system to carry
water across and along streets and intersections, constructing
privet,* arioeweye, inetelling water services and sewer connec-
• tions, and paving with bituminous concrete.
BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the
assessment of the same upon the property hereinafter described
in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 154), for the
purpose of providing for the grading, curbing where curbing
is not already constructed, gutter ing, constructing drainage
system to carry water across and along streets and intersections,
constructing private driveways, installing water services and
sewer oannections, and paving with bituminous concrete, to wit:
In Lot 1, Block 1; Lots 1 & 2, Block 2; Lots 1,
2, 9 to 15 incl. 3 and 8 of Block 4; Lots 1 to 15 incl. of
Block 1; Lots 1 and 12 to 17 incl. of Block 2; Lots 1;to 14 incl.
of Block 3; Lots 3 to 8 incl. of Block 4; Lots 16 and 17 of

Block 1; and Lots 10 and 11 of Block 2, Westmoreland Place Sub. of
I Block 12s in Five Acre Plat C, Big Field Survey, abutting
on both sides of streets in Westmoreland. Place in Salt Lake Cit ,
Utah.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of grading,
oiabing where curbing is not already constructed, guttering ,
constructing drainage system to carry water across and along
streets and intersections, constructing private driveways,
installing water services and sewer c onnections and paving with
a bituminous concrete (said pavement to be forty (40) feet betwee
!! curbs on Westermoreland Drive betwben Thirteenth South Street a
; Sherman Avenue, and. thirty (30) feet between curbs on Sherman
;(Avenue between Filmore and Glenmare Streets, Harrison Avenue
between Fifteenth East and Sixteenth East Streets, Filmore Stre
between Sherman and Harrison•Avenues, and Glenmare Street betwe
iySherman and Harrison Avenues, and all of said pavement to be sixl
l (6) inches thick with four (4) inch crushed rock base and two
(2) inch bituminous concrete wearing course), the portions of
said street opposite the property hereinbefore and hereinaftet
described to be especially affected and benefited by said im-
provement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established
that said property will be especially benefited thereby to
the full amount of the tax levied, and said parcels of land

are hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance
jwith the linear foot frontage upon said portions of said street

fronting upon and to a depth of fifty (50) feet back therefrom,

SECTION II. Said tax shall bec one /,nd be delinquent
iin ten equal yearly installments, with interest on the whole
sum unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum, payable at the
time each installment is due, to-wit: One-tenth thereof one
year after the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax for the
payment for such improvement bec apes effective; one-tenth there of
in two years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth
thereof in three years after said ordinance becomes effective;
one-tenth thereof in four years after said ordinance becona.s
effective; one-tenth thereof in five years after said ordinance

ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth thereof in seven years
after said ordinance bee ones effective; one-tenth thereof in

eight years after said ordinance becomes effective; one-tenth

jthereof in nine years after said ordinance bee aces effective;
;and one-tenth thereof in ten years after said x dinanbe bee ones
(effective. One or more of said. installments , in the order in
hioh they are payable, or the whole special tax, ray be paid
tat any time with in thirty days after the ordinance confirming
Ithe levy of the tax becomes effective, without interest. In
lthe event of any installment or the interest aforesaid not be-

ling paid on the date the same becomes due, the whole amount
'of the special tax unpaid at the time said installment and
interest are due, shall bee one due and payable, and shall draw
interest at the rate of eight per cent per annum until the sale
of the property assessed; provided one or more installments, in
the order in which they are payable, or the whole special tax
;unpaid, may be paid on the day any installment bee ones due, by
lipaying the amount thereof and interest to said date.
SECTION III. This ordinance shall take effect one
day after its first publication.
