AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE LIMITS OF SALT LAKE CITY.
WHEREAS, there has been filed with the City Recorder of Salt Lake
Resources
City Petition No. 303 of 1974, by Uivbn'Facifit-Land/ Corp., et al.,
requesting that the tract of land hereinafter described be taken within
the limits of Salt Lake City; and
WHEREAS, the said petition is signed by a majority of the owners
of the real property and the owners of more than one-third in value of
all the real property, as shown by the last assessment rolls, situated
in the tract hereinafter described; and
WHEREAS, the said petitioner has caused an accurate plat or map
to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor and approved by
the City Engineer to be filed with the City Recorder; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, after
examining said petition of said owners of said tract of land, and con-
sidering the circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous vote of all
members of said Board to annex said tract of land to Salt Lake City and
directed that an ordinance should be passed annexing said territory
and extending the city limits of Salt Lake City accordingly.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH:
SECTION 1. That the city limits of Salt Lake City be, and the
same hereby are, enlarged so as to include the following described
tract of land in Salt Lake County, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the West boundary of Salt Lake City
Limits that is 783 feet East and 50 feet South of the South-
east corner of Section 17, Township 1 South, Range 1 West,
Salt Lake Base & Meridian; thence Westerly along a line
parallel to and 50 feet perpendicularly distant southerly
from the South line of Sections 16, 17 & 18, a distance of
6470.26 feet more or less to a point that is 400 feet West
of the Southwest corner of said Section 17; thence N. 0°11'
55" W. along a line parallel to and 400 feet perpendicularly
distant Westerly from the West line of said Section 17, a
distance of 1169.98 feet; thence S. 89°56'40" E. 500 feet
more or less, to a point 100 feet perpendicularly distant

easterly from the West line of Section 17; thence N. 0°
11'55" W. 1727.03 feet more or less, to the North line
of Union Pacific Land Resources Corp. property; thence
N. 89°59' E. along said northerly line, a distance of
3337.15 feet; thence S. 85°57'20" E. 254.8 feet; thence
N. 71°06' E. 341.2 feet, more or less, to a point on the
northerly boundary of Utah Power & Light Company property;
thence continuing along the said northerly property line
of said Power Company, the following courses and distances;
N. 89°59' E. 146.2 feet; N. 72°35' E. 2002.10 feet, more
or less, to the westerly boundary of the Salt Lake City
Limits; thence S. 0°09'16" E. along said limit boundary
3563.54 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND DECLARED that the whole of the above
described property be, and the same hereby is, zoned as an Industrial
"M-lA" District.
AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED AND DECLARED that when this ordinance .
takes effect the said tract of land above described shall thenceforth
be within the corporate limits of Salt Lake City and shall be zoned
as an Industrial "M-lA" District, as herein provided, and all ordinances,
jurisdictions, rules and obligations of or pertaining to Salt Lake City
are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract
of land, and the streets, blocks, alleys and public ways of said tract
shall be controlled and governed by the ordinances, rules and regulations
