An ordinance levying a tax and for the assessment of property
on the east side of C Street between South Temple and First Streets,
and on the west side of C. Street from South Temple Street north
one-half block, in Sidewalk District No. 24, for the construction of

sidewalks.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That 'the City Council does hereby levy the tax and
provide for the assessment upon the property hereinafter described
abutting on the east sided' C Street between South. Temple and First
Streets, and on the west side of C Street from South Temple Street
north one-half block, in Sidewalk District No. 24.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of constructing a
sidewalk upon said portions of said s treet opposite the property
hereinafter described to be especially affected and benefited by
said improvement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and estab-
lished that the same will be especially benefited thereby to the
full amountof the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are

; hereby assessed at an equal and uniflrm rate in accordance with the
linear foot frontage upon said portionsof said street fronting upon
land to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the tax
hereby levied and to be assessed upon said parcels of land is three
hundred and ninety-six (1396.00) dollars, or 80/100 ($0.80) dollars
per front or linear foot, and the Treasurer is hereby authorized and
empowered to assess in accordance with the provisions of this ordi-
nance for the purpose herein mentioned, all of Lots 2 and 3, Block
11, and all of Lot 1, Block 12, Plat "D", Salt Lake City Survey, as
the same are shown upon the official plats of said City to a depth
of twenty-five (25) feet back from said Street.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect upon approval.
