AN ORDIN4NCE LEVYING A TAX and for the assessment of
property in Paving District No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 190)
for the purpose of paving with Warrenite bitulithic pavement
Yale and Thornton Avenues in Upper Yale Park Subdivision.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake
City does hereby levy the tax and provide for the assessment of
the same upon the property hereinafter described in Paving Dis-
trict No. 32 (Paving Extension No. 190) ,for the purpose of paving
with Warrenite Bitulithic pavement, to-wit:
In Lots 1 to 12 incl. of Elk. 1, Lots 1 and 4 to
v/ 20 incl. of Elk. 5, and Lots 1 & 13 of Elk. 4, all in Upper
Yale Park Sub. of Elk. 29, 5-Acre Plat "C", Big Field Sur-
vey, abutting on both sides of Yale and Thornton Avenues
from 15th East to a points 896.4 feet east on the north
side and 946.9 feet east on the south side, in Salt Lake
City, Utah.
This tax is levied to defray the expense of paving with
Warrenite bitulithic pavement Yale and Thornton Avenues from
15th East to a point 896.4 feet east on the north side and 946.9
feet east on the south side, said pavement to be 1-1/2; inch War-
recite bitulithic wearing surface on a three (3) inch bitumin-
our concrete base, and said roadway to be thirty-four

1(34) feet wide on Yale Avenue from 15th East Street to a point
497 feet east (assessment to be on basis of 112 of a thirty-four
(34) foot roadway); twenty-five (25) feet wide on Yale :>venue from
a point 497 ft. east of 15th East Street, east 449 ft. and that
portion of Lots 1 and 13, P1k. 4, Upper Yale Park Sub, of 31k. 29,
5-Acre Plat Y, between limits of pavement on Yale and Thornton
Avenues; and twenty-six (26) feet wide on Thornton Avenue from a
point 497 ft. east of 15th East Street, east 396.5 feet; the por-
tions of said streeisopposite the property hereinbefore and here-
inafter described to he especially affected and benefited by said
jimprovement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and established

that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the
lull amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are
hereby assessed at an equal and uniform rate in accordance with
the linear foot frontage upon and to the entire depth back there-
' rrom, and the tax hereby levied and to be assessed upon said par-

City Treasurer is hereby authorized and directed to assess, in
accordance with the provisions of this ordinance, for the purpose

SECTION II. That the assessment list made by the City
Treasurer as corrected, approved and completed by the Board of
Equalization and Review of the property described in Section I of
[this ordinance in Paving Extension No. 190, of Salt Lake City,
'for the purpose oftsl_ paving with warrentte bitulithic
thereof, is hereby confirmed and the assessments made and returne.

tion and Review to the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City,
are hereby ratified,approved and confirmed.
SECTION III. Said tax shall be payable in ten equal
iyearly installments as provided by law and ordinance with interes
on the whole sub unpaid at the rate of six per cent per annum,
payable at the time each installment is due. In the event any in-,
stallment or the interest aforesaid is not paid on the day the
same becomes due, the whole amount of the special tax unpaid at
; the time said installment and interest are due, shall become due
and payable, and shall draw interest at the rate of twelve per
scent per annum until the sale of the property assessed.
SECTION IV. This ordinance shall take effect one day
after its publication.
