AN ORDINANCE
Result
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 1541, Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to weights and measures
and providing fees for the inspection of lubricants, fuel oils
and motor fuels.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION I. That Section 1541, Revised Ordinances of Salt
Lake City, Utah, 1934, relating to weights and measures and provid-
ing fees for the inspection of lubricants, fuel oils and motor
fuels, is hereby amended to read as follows:
SECTION 1541. INSPECTION FEES. For inspecting lubri-
cants, fuel oils and motor fuels as in this chapter provided,
CIO the City License Assessor and Collector shall collect for each
calendar gear, or any part thereof, in advance from all whole-
sale dealers in lubricants or fuel oils, the sum of $25.00;
from all wholesale dealers in motor fuels, or motor fuels and
lubricants and fuel oils the sum of $150.00; and from all retail
dealers the sum of $5.00 for each retail service station
operated.
. The term "retail_service station" as used in this
ordinance shall mean and include any place where lubricants or
fuel oils or motor fuels are carried or made available for
sale or sold at retail.
The term "retail dealer" shall mean any person main-
taining or operating one or more retail service stations or
carrying or making available for dale lubricants, fuel oils
or motor fuels in Salt Lake City at retail.
The term "wholesale dealer", as used in this ordinance,

shall mean and include any person operating or maintaining a
place where lubricants, fuel oils or motor fuels are manufac-
tured or distilled or are purchased or imported in carload
quantity, or tank car quantity, or in motor transport tank
truck quantity and are carried or made available for sale at
retail or are sold at retail in Salt Lake City; and any person,
operating or maintaining any place where lubricants, fuel oils
or motor fuels are manufactured, distilled or imported and
are carried and made available for sale or are sold in Silt
Lake City at wholesale.
ii SECTION 2. In the opinion of th4 Board of Commissioners
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants
.of Salt Lake City that this ordinance shall take effect immediate-

SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect at once upon
