AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 5803 of the Revised
Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to streets
and irrigation.
Be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt
Lake City, Utah:
SECTION 1. That Section 5803 of the Revised Ordinances
of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1944, relating to streets and irrigation,
be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"SEC. 5803. OFICE MANAGER, SALARY, OATH, BOND. There is
hereby created the office of office manager in the department
of streets and public improvements.
The Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah, may
appoint a competent person to the office of office manager in
the department of streets and public improvements, who shall
receive a salary of not to exceed $3900.00 per annum, payable
monthly, and who shall perform such duties as may be prescribed
by the Board Of Commissioners and the Commissioner of Streets
GC
and Public Improvements.
The office manager in the department of streets and public
improvements shall, before entering upon the duties of his of-
fice, subscribe the constitutiohal oath of office, and give bond
to Salt Lake City in the sum of ",r1000.00, conditioned as provided
by law.
SECTION 2. In the opinion of the Board of Commissioners,
it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of
Salt Lake City that this ordinance become effective immediately.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect upon its first
publication.
