WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, has deter- mined that down zoning of certain residential districts in the Rose Park area of Salt Lake City would be in the best interest of the inhabitants of said community to preserve and conserve the existing housing stock and to promote the revitalization of the area as a residential neighbor- hood and to encourage compatible commercial activity therein, said Board hereby adopts the following amendments to the use district provision of Title 51. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Board of Commissioners of Salt Lake City, Utah: SECTION L That the use and "Use District Map" as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fixing the boundaries of use districts, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows: That the following described parcels of real property in Residential R-4 Districts, situated in Blocks 75 and 82 of Plat C, Salt Lake City Survey, more commonly described as the area between 825 to 900 West between 300 and 500 North streets are hereby zoned Residential R-2 and the Use District Map is amended and changed accordingly: Commencing at the southeast corner of 900 West Street and 500 North Street, running thence East along the south line of 500 North Street 510 feet to a point on the South line of 500 North Street, said point being 150 feet West of the West line of 800 West Street; thence South 1,452 feet more or less, to the North line of 300 North Street, said point being 150 feet West of the West line of 800 West Street; thence West 510 feet to the East line of 900 West Street; thence North 1,452 feet more or less to the point of be- ginning. SECTION 2. That the use and "Use District Map" as adopted by Section 51-12-2 of the Revised Ordinances of Salt Lake City, Utah, 1965, as amended, relating to fixing the boundaries of use districts, be, and the same hereby is, amended as follows: 8 That the following described parcels of real property in Residential R-6 Districts, situated in Blocks 62, 63, 64, 69, 70, 71, 74, 75, 82, 83, 86 and 87 of Plat C of the Salt Lake City Survey; more commonly described as the area of 725 West to 1000 West between 175 West to 300 West and 725 West to 820 West between 300 to 600 North is hereby zoned Residential R-2 and the "Use District Map" is hereby amended and changed accordingly: Commencing at a point on the South line of 600 North Street, said point being 150 feet West of the West line of 800 West Street; thence East along the South line of 600 North Street 282 feet to the East line of 800 West Street; thence South along the East line of 800 West Street 330 feet; thence East 300 feet more or less to the West line of Grant Street; thence South along the West line of Grant Street 330 feet to the North line of 500 North Street; thence East along the North line of 500 North 195 feet, more or less, to a point, said point being 165 feet West of 700 West Street; thence South 2,673 feet more or less to a point, said point being 165 feet South of the South line of 200 North Street and 165 feet West of 700 West Street; thence West 2,079 feet, more or less, to a point on the East line of 1000 West Street said point being 165 feet south of 200 North Street; thence North along the East line of 1000 West Street 957 feet to the South line of 300 North Street; thence East along the South line of 300 North.
