An. ordinance levying a tax and providing for the assessment of
property on the east side of State Street from Hillside Avenue to
Second North Street, in Sidewalk District No. 19, on the south. side !
of Second North Street from State Street east ninety-nine (99) feet,)
and on the east side of East Capitol Street from Second North Street;
to the north line of Lot 10, Block 4, flat "J", in Sidewalk District
Do. 28, for the construction of cement sidewalks.
Be it ordained by the City Council of Salt Luke City, Ut€h;
SECTION 1. That the City Council does hereby levy;the tax anti
provide for the assessment of the same upon the property h'ereinafterl
described in Sidewalk Districts Nos. 19 and 28, for the constructi.oz�
of cement sidewalks, to-wit:
In Lot 8, Block 2, Flat "K"; in Lots 1 to 9, inciosiva, block 1,
and in Lots 1 to 10, inclusive, Block 4, flat "J", shutting on the
south side of Second North Street between ,t Canyoh and State
r Streets, and on the east side of East Capi 1. Street between forth
Capitol (now Fourth North Street) and South Capitol (now Second Noith
Street) Avenues.
This tax is levied to defray the e::pense of constructing cement
sidewalks six (6) feet wide and four (4) inches tbiok o.pon per-
ti.ons of said streets opposite the property horeinbefore and 1:orein
after described to be especially affected and benefited by said im-
provement, and it is hereby adjudged, determined and eut3bti.shed
that said property will be especially benefited thereby to the ;fail
amount of the tax hereby levied, and said parcels of land are hereby
assessed at an equal and uniform rate in a.cordance with the linear
foot frontage upon said portions of said streets fronting upon and
to a depth of twenty-five (25) feet back therefrom, and the beret-

SECTION 2. Said tax shall become and be delinquent in five
equal installments, as follows, to-wit: One-fifth thereof ono year;
after the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax
for the payment for such improeceor:t; one-fifth thereof fr, two yearS
after such approval; one-fifth thereof in three years after uch apt
proval; one-fifth thereof in four years after such approval; and onS-
fifth thereof in five years after such approval. One or mere of sal.d
installments, or the whole tax may he paid on or before ten days af?-
ter the approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of the tax. 1
One or more installments, or the whole special tax nr be prt_;i on the

day any instillment becomes due, by paying the amount thereof ana in-
terest to date of payment. Eaoh of s. id installments shall dear in-
terest at the rate of six (6) per cent pan annum from the date of tle
approval of the ordinance confirming the levy of said tax until the;

date of deliaquuncy, and eight (ii) per cent per annum from de7inquen-
cy until paid. '
